Women continue to be very under-represented in the architectural profession, which has become defined by a narrow middle-class, heterosexual, Eurasian male perspective, out of kilter with today’s diverse community. This book brings together a team of up and coming female architects and designers to discuss their work at various scales, from local to global, and in doing so, to question what constitutes a feminist practice and more generally to offer an alternative definition of architecture for the 21st century.
